When we do the work we do it with the awareness of what we are doing.

Philosophy is the way of thinking that is reflected in the way of acting, otherwise it is theory not philosophy. The lawyer who has a convincing defense for the worst criminal always has his say, but the fact remains that there are people who act with moral concepts and consideration for themselves, for others and for their work.

If you look at the jewel or object in question and its costs, there is no doubt about the validity of the product, its value, processing methods and quality. I have been in the field of jewelry since I was 15, the aesthetic concept, that is the harmony of shapes, does not only have to do with objects, jewels, matter, it has to do with the spiritual part of the individual, it has to do with dealing with the ego, with the ways, with acting in the right rather than in the wrong and transmitting this aesthetic ability in the creation of the object.

Considering right and wrong only for oneself, that is, “if it’s right for me, it’s right“, this is not right, this is wrong, this is selfishness, self-centeredness. Right is right to the extent that it is best for everyone involved in the situation in question. One cannot spare oneself in making a creation, it must be done with harmony and generosity.

A client of mine, arrogant and not very understanding, after I asked what work he did, I realized how easy it is to do damage. He asked for the exploitation of an area in Amazonia, basically he cut the jungle trees, then got the permits, he corrupted the controls after cutting down the trees he had the permits for and cleared 10 times as much as he had been granted. He was rich, but humanity increasingly poor, of oxygen, of living beings, of love.

When I talk about doing good, I mean doing fair things for myself, my family, my friends, clients and those around me. This is my education, this is how I act and compel the people around me to act with these principles. This is the reason behind our growth every year despite every barrier and adversity (laws, crises, “rulers”, envious, pessimists). At 16 I worked in a diamond cutting shop where I learned the concept of how diamonds are cut. I cut diamonds for a short time, I am not a cutter as it is a job that must be practiced for a long time to learn the diamond polishing techniques, it is like sailing, there are no shortcuts, you have to practice continuously to years under the guidance of a “master“. I worked in Milan and in Valenza Po as a cutter of colored stones, where the precision necessary to cut diamonds allowed me to quickly learn how to cut Sapphires, Rubies, Emeralds and other semi-precious stones.

This period of about 5 years has allowed me to have an experience on which I have built my whole life, deepening day after day and understanding more and more how immense the field of jewelry is.

The techniques needed to understand to create harmonic forms in creating jewelry, joining metal and precious stones must become part of the education of the jeweler. The pleasure of music is like the pleasure of food which is like the pleasure of an emerald set in a jewel.

The preparation of each of us leads us to take different paths. In the life of each of us there are moments to be grasped and these moments make the difference. I became a jeweler because I took many moments where I learned and growing up I learned, it is not a mystery, it is not luck, it is conscious growth.

I was “lucky” yes maybe yes, but I was there when the opportunity became available and that opportunity was teaching. I learned from those who were willing to explain to me, to teach me one thing after another and this set of notions resulted in a different education.

Now I am a jeweler and I start learning much faster than before, I have not stopped, I just increased the learning speed. There is no end, you never stop learning. Knowledge is comparable to all the grains on a beach and what we know is only a few grains.
